Hello, my name is Richard Clubine. I’ve seen all sorts of blogs that people have set up to talk about things that they feel passionate about, but I was never one to care enough about anything to want to blog about them. Well now I do care. I’ve recently done a study on Romans that has opened my eyes to so many different issues, and I feel the irresistible need to talk about them. I’m not sure how many people will listen to me, but if I get a handful to tune in regularly, I will consider it a success.
For this first issue, I won’t go into anything too deep. Instead, I’ll just let you know a few things about myself. First off, you have to know that I love Jesus. He is the first passion in my life. I know I owe Him my all, and for this reason I strive daily to show people His love. This life is regrettably new to me, but I know that God uses everyone, so I’ll do my best regardless. These are all things you’ll find out about more as you read this blog.
I have a family of 5 – my mom and dad plus my three little sisters, and I love them all. Mom is the author Marji Laine and has her blog here:
My dad, Paul, is a financial administrator at Essilor, but has a lot of experience in church administration as well. My three little sisters are all homeschooled. Katie is in high school and Brittany and Breana (identical twins) are both moving through junior high.
I also have my crazy dog Captain who is a black lab with a little beagle in him. The guy is a crazy ball of insane energy, but I love him to death. He is constantly trying to impress the older family dog, Marcie, a beagle/pointer mix.
I am a die-hard Dallas Mavericks fan. I love playing all sorts of sports and will watch everything from baseball to tennis, but the only team in the world that I follow with in undying passion is my Dallas Mavs. 2011 Champs! The Texas Rangers are a love of mine, but I will not put them in the same category as the Mavs.
So this is just a small bit about me. You’ll learn more as you read, but this is a good starting point. Most of my blogs will be about what I’ve recently read or been convicted of, but every now and then, you’ll learn a little something new about me in my life of school, sports, relationships, and plenty else. But for now, I will leave you with the promise to post my first serious blog in the next couple of days. I have just finished my study of Romans, as I stated earlier, and have a lot of things I wish to address concerning that fantastic letter from the apostle Paul. It may even take up two blogs, so look out for that. In the meantime, may God bless you.
